Biography Lee Owen Tinsley (born March 4, 1969, in Shelbyville, Kentucky) is a former Major League Baseball outfielder, who played in 1993–97 with the Seattle Mariners, Boston Red Sox and Philadelphia Phillies. He is the current assistant hitting coach of the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball. Playing career Oakland Athletics Tinsley was drafted in the 1st round of the 1987 MLB Draft out of Shelby County High School in Shelbyville, Kentucky.
